Community Involvement

The BDA community involvement programme enables and encourages our employees to make a difference in society and foster skills development. We encourage participation in physical exercise, support the artist community and promote environmental sustainability.

Charitable Causes

BDA supports various staff-nominated charities and our employees participate in numerous community development initiatives. Some of the charities we support regularly include the Children's Medical Research Institute, Starlight Children's Foundation, RSPCA Queensland, Australian Red Cross Blood Service and World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Cooperative Skills Development

BDA has a history of active involvement in cooperative skills development on numerous projects across Queensland and Australasia. We are committed to working cooperatively with local suppliers to develop skills and transfer knowledge in the communities in which we operate.

Sports Communities

We are passionate about sport and encourage our people to get involved in physical activity. BDA sponsors staff participating as individuals or as part of the BDA corporate team in events such as triathlons and marathons.

The Arts

Our enthusiasm for the arts has seen BDA support the local artistic community in a number of ways. One such initiative is our ongoing involvement as a corporate sponsor of Opera Queensland.

The Environment

BDA is committed to pursuing environmental sustainability in our operations and on the projects with which we are involved. We also offer climate change consulting services to help organisations meet and benefit from compliance obligations and in general to become more environmentally friendly.
